Film Screening & Discussion with Filmmaker Rasha Azab, “Trapped”, April 3, 2024. 

On April 3, 2024, Women and Gender in Global Perspectives Program and Gender & Women's Studies Department hosted a Film Screening & Discussion with Filmmaker Rasha Azab, “Trapped as part of the Transnational Feminist Resistance(s) Against Contemporary Violence(s) Conference on April 4-5th, 2024. The movie "Trapped" uses the 2011 Egyptian Revolution as its backdrop and weaves together multiple stories of women who are confined and attempt to escape. The movie is inspired by real events and explores themes of female resilience and the challenges of finding freedom in a restrictive environment.
