Stefan Vogler, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, has research that uses feminist and queer theoretical perspectives to examine how sexualized subjects encounter legal and state institutions and the consequences of such interactions.
In both his research and teaching, Vogler emphasize sexuality’s connections to other axes of social difference, such as race, gender, nationality, and citizenship status, as well as the mutual constitution of sexuality and other social categories.
